The Providence Journal features RRC's Dr. Toni Lyn Morelli and NECASC Graduate Fellow Jahiya Clark!
The Providence Journal recently published an article featuring RRC’s Dr. Toni Lyn Morelli on the ramifications of climate change on winters in New England ecosystems! Included are quotes from Dr. Morelli on how iconic species like the snowshoe hare, moose, Canada lynx, and groundhogs.
Jahiya Clark, a graduate fellow at the Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center, was also featured! The article briefly explains her use of camera traps in northern New Hampshire to “document both snowfall data and the presence of certain mammals”. Jahiya’s work will help us understand how a more short-lived snowpack correlates with what wildlife species are staying in an area.
